A Legacy Since 1958

Hughes Epoxy Solutions carries forward a name that jewelers and lapidaries have trusted for over 65 years.  What began in 1958 as Hughes Associates - a small Minnesota manufacturer of adhesives and sealants built specifically for the jewelry and lapidary trade - has passed through the hands of a few dedicated owners over the decades, each committed to the same principle: make it right, make it small-batch, and never change what already works.

In 2024, that legacy came to Spirit Lake, Iowa, when Issendorf Industries acquired the company and its full product line, renaming it Hughes Epoxy Solutions.  The move brought the business to a new home, but the formulas, the craftsmanship and the commitment to quality that jewelers and lapidaries have relied on for generations remain exactly as they were.

​Our Products

Hughes Epoxy Solutions manufactures the same three core products that have defined the brand for decades:

• Epoxy 330 - Our most popular adhesive, a water-clear formula trusted by jewelers for precision bonding.

• Epoxy 220 - Our strongest epoxy, an amber-clear adhesive built for durable, production grade bonding of gem materials to metal findings.

• Opticon 224 Fracture Sealer - a two-part resin and hardener system used to sela fractures and fill pits in gemstones, slabs, and cabochons, restoring clarity and structural integrity to the stone.

We're not interested in shortcuts.  Every batch of Hughes Epoxy Solutions product is made using the same formulations that have earned the trust of the jewelry and lapidary community since 1958.  Small batch manufacturing means we can hold that standard consistently, batch after batch, the same way it's always been done.
